Tim and I met the summer before my sophomore year of college. We dated for six years and have been married for 22 years. We lived in a townhome in Addison when I became pregnant with our daughter Morgan. Shortly after, we moved to a house in Plano. Pierce was born 19 months later.
Morgan and Pierce were always playmates and best friends being so close in age. They attended preschool at St. Andrews UMC. We moved to Allen where Morgan attended kindergarten and first grade and Pierce attended kindergarten.
On a Sunday drive, we discovered Lucas and found a two-acre lot that we purchased and built our home. The kids attend Hart Elementary School and Sloan Creek Middle School. We lived there for 10 1/2 years.
The kids decided the school district was not a good fit for them; so, they attended a private school for two years, then one year of high school in Princeton. We sold our home and bought a 32-acre ranch in Whitewright, where the kids attended the remainder of high school.
Tim owns three companies; a remodeling company, an electrical company and he builds custom homes. I was blessed to be able to stay home and raise the kids. We were very involved in our school district and community. We are also involved with different charities.
We're a very close family. Both sets of our parents live in the Metroplex, as well as most of our sibling's families. We took the kids to Disney World twice, went on beach vacations, snow skiing, and the kids favorite trip, a cruise to the Bahamas two years ago.
Tim and Pierce shared a passion for cars and they enjoyed deer hunting at our lease in Sonora, Texas. Pierce's other hobbies/sports were dirt bikes, airsoft, video games, working on his car, played basketball one season and then lacrosse for three years.
