As I sit here, on a cool June late night evening, in Texas, which comes as a surprise considering how miserable the hot humid day was, I find myself reflecting....reflecting on different people asking me 'you've given so much of Pierce's possessions away, what would you never give away?'
For me, that is simple: I'd NEVER GIVE AWAY HIS:
Cross Necklace (that Tim now wears.); his class ring (that Morgan has); his belt with belt-buckle (that I have); his duck commander pj bottoms that I have and wear; his last Leopard Lacrosse jersey; his cologne; several shirts.
Yes, we gave certain items of his to certain people - shots/clothes to his buddies; his TV to a fiend; his bedroom furniture to another friend; his truck to our foreman who is like family to us; his Mustang to his heart recipient, his original lacrosse jersey to his cousin in Chicago; his Bucky Beaver to his cousin in Chicago.
But, I promise, with as much as I share, of our lives, you have NO CLUE what I keep....what is held just for us. What is private. It is what it is.....I feel compelled to share our live with everyone in hopes of preventing another person from taking their own life; in hopes of letting survivors know they can survive; but, there will always be a HUGE part of our life that is just for us.
